Hello, my name is Tana Berry and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington State. I specialize in working with trauma survivors, C-PTSD, PTSD, and Anger Management. I use a wide range of modalities to sit with people from all walks of life, with varying experiences. My approach My approach to therapy varies to meet the client where they are on their journey. Having a very diverse background allows me to build rapport easily. My theoretical approaches consist of CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused, Motivational Interviewing, and many other modalities of evidence-based interventions. My focus I find I can sit with most people due to the wide variety of study and training that I have engaged in. Areas of interest are working with trauma survivors and most other populations. I am interested in helping people find their path to personal growth and the ability to sit with themselves without fear. My communication style I have a straightforward, open, and honest communication style that I have been told is refreshing. Clients can express themselves without concerns of judgment and in their true voice. My journey to mental healthcare My journey has been one of resilience. Through lived experience, I recognized the importance of helping others explore personal growth to achieve their goals and learn to live with self comfortably. Life can be challenging and any way we can make it more liveable is where we can find strength. My goals for you Goal setting should be directed by the client with collaborative discussion around what they would like to achieve and how they would like to achieve it. My first session with you First sessions can be used for rapport building, gaining a brief history of what brought them to services, and what they would like to achieve on their journey.
